If you are using a camera and iPad, then you don’t need extra cable because your iPad and camera have already inbuilt with C port USB to C port USB cable.
How to import photos  DSLR to iPad
Follow the given steps to import photos from DSLR to iPad.
  1. Attach a camera or SD card to iPad Pro.
  2. Images should automatically get into the Import tab.
  3. Click on the picture that you want to import
  4. If you wish to import only a few pictures, then choose them and Press on Import.
  5. The choose photos will be imported.
  6. If you wish to import all the Images, Click on Import All.
How to import photos DSLR photos in Lightroom for iPad
  1. Attach a camera, SD card, or another drive into iPad Pro.
  2. Turn on Lightroom on the iPad.
  3. Hit the Add Photos icon.
  4. Click  From Camera Device.
  5. Press on the photos you wish to import.
  6. Click on Import.
  7. Lightroom will import those selected photos.
  8. Hit either Keep or Delete, will import your photos, and Delete will delete your photos permanently from the device.
